Sunset at Pier 60 2017
Pier 60 is located on Clearwater Beach, Florida. It is a popular landmark for both tourists and local residents and occupies a central location in the Clearwater Beach area. The pier extends 1,080 feet into the Gulf of Mexico and used for both recreation and fishing. Surrounding the pier are shops, a playground area as well as over a mile of public beach extending in both directions from the pier. The pier is very close to hotels and the main business district of Clearwater Beach.
Pier 60 is also a popular location for viewing sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico with many people turning out nightly to enjoy the experience. Not to mention at least a few photographers including myself.
Below is a series of five sunset images of the pier taken over a 53 minute time period from the same location about 100 feet north of the pier.
