Old St. Petersburg Pier - Christmas 2013
The image featured in this gallery is a view of the municipal pier in downtown St Petersburg, Florida taken from the waterfront shoreline. The Christmas light display in the foreground is set up on a breakwater area separating the downtown St Petersburg waterfront from Tampa Bay. The inverted pyramid structure shown on the pier containing shops, restaurants and other attractions was closed earlier in 2013 and has since been demolished.
The image below was taken with a 30 sec shutter speed at f/22, 110mm. Lights on the Christmas display in the foreground were flashing on and off in sequence, the 30 second shutter allowing time to capture the entire cycle of flashing lights.
